According to WTO’s World Tariff Reports 2009, in 2008 Iran has applied MFN-based tariffs on 26.0% of its imported items which is 28.9% for agricultural goods and 25.6% for non-agricultural goods. In 2006, Iran has applied MFN on 13.8% of its trade weighted average including 10.2% for agricultural goods and 14.1% for non-agricultural ones constituting $9.4 billion in total imports, $0.8 billion in agricultural products and 8.6% in non-agricultural ones.
